“I love being anywhere with my wife and son, exploring new technology, hiking as much as I can, and working on my own recipes in the kitchen – I’m the Top Chef at my house!”

My Professional Life

I’ve spent the last decade working in the real estate and mortgage industries building technology solutions that brought efficiencies to my employers. All of that changed the day I launched the first social network for real estate investors on the web in 2004. As I moved full time into the role of entrepreneur, I recognized the impact that social media would play on the success of my company. I have been inspired ever since.

Today, I leverage my passion for the ever-changing world of new media and my experience as an early adopter of social networking technology to help individuals and organizations develop and manage effective social media efforts. I enjoy the process with my clients and find satisfaction in the pursuit of new information that may help them.

My Personal Life

I have been spending a significant amount of time on the trails in southern Nevada. Red Rock is just 30 minutes from my house and offers spectacular views and rugged trails that include some bush-wacking, scrambling, bouldering and even some class II and III climbing sections. Mt. Charleston is about an hour away providing a completely different experience. Most of the trails in this section of the Spring Mountain range are more heavily wooded, the trails are well maintained and the views are unbeatable. The challenge at Mt. Charleston is the higher beginning elevation and the elevation gain that most trails involve. I manage to carve out at least a half day each week to tackle a trail in one of these wilderness areas.

One thing I do almost everyday is cook for my family. I began cooking at a young age, somewhere around 10 I think. My culinary interests have changed, I’ve rediscovered some old favorites and now I try to incorporate my other interests like fishing and camping into my kitchen. I use cast iron more than most and really enjoy dishes made in the dutch oven. We fire the grill up several days a week and have tried to cook everything on it…sometimes with surprising results, good and bad. I have become a student of the craft and enjoy exploring various recipes and techniques trying to better define my own cooking style. Who knows, this just might be my next career!
