		<description>Thanks for the reply Peteo. I assumed that the iPhone would have power issues with a GPS app.  I have a Blackberry and found the same using the Trimble app.  I think the clear way to go is with a dedicated handheld GPS.  What do you specifically like about the one you have?</description>

		<description>Tim, There&#039;s lots of GPS apps out for the iPhone, some really good ones, like Gaia, geocaching, accutera, Their interfaces are great and the phone is pretty easy to read.  The problem is the iPhone&#039;s GPS is not that great and you can loose signal pretty easy. Also the battery drains real fast, with the GPS on I get about 4 hours on the stock battery at most. (they do have battery case add on&#039;s that help.) Not sure about android phones. But I think you can pair an external Blue tooth GPS with them that will give better signal. (you have to hack you iPhone to use blue tooth gps) Of course a dedicated hand held GPS might be the best but they cost $$$ I have a delorme PN-40 and love it (PN-60 comes out in June) Also the Garmin Dakota 2 is nice too.</description>
